Our Services

Financial Planning

FINANCIAL PLANNING services include developing the answers to the following questions:

  • How much money do you need to save for retirement and when can you retire without fear of outliving your money?
  • How much do you need to save toward your children’s education?
  • What kind and how much insurance do you need?
  • Can you reduce the amount of taxes you currently pay?
  • Is there a way to reduce estate taxes when you die?

Generally, each of us tends to address various financial planning topics as the & situation arises & We do education planning when we have children, insurance planning when we take on substantial obligations such as a new mortgage, tax planning on April 16th each year, investment planning when interest rates go down, retirement planning when we are offered early retirement options by our employer, and estate planning when we need to change our will.

In assisting you in this planning, our role is to gather the information that is critical to the development of reasonable answers. This includes quantifying your goals and objectives in these various planning areas. Either by personal interview or the completion of a written questionnaire, information relevant to your personal situation is obtained. We will then complete a technical review of this information and present the conclusions to you.

How we are compensated:

FINANCIAL PLANNING services are normally billed on an hourly basis, agreed to in advance and collected upon completion. Some financial planning services are provided without additional charge for clients paying investment advisory service fees or as preliminary preparation done prior to the recommendation of investment products for which we may receive commissions.

Investment Advisory

INVESTMENT ADVISORY services include developing the answers to the following questions:

  • What kind of investment is appropriate for you?
  • How much money should be invested in each kind of investment?
  • When should your investments be changed?
  • What are your investments worth and how much money are you making?

For some people, keeping track of their own investments proves too time consuming, would require too much technical research, or detracts from other more pleasant aspects of their life. For many, it is something they just do not want to do.

However, it is generally true that everyone wants to know where they stand, how much their investments are worth, how much they have grown, and whether specific investments should be replaced.

My role as an Investment Advisor Representative includes a technical analysis of various investment options and the development of a recommended "mix" that seeks consistent competitive returns while attempting to keep the levels of risk low. By monitoring current investment conditions, adjustments to this "mix" are made. Your portfolio is then adjusted to reflect this mix.

As an advisory client, you will receive quarterly investment summaries, depicting the current value of each of the monitored assets and an indication of the performance of your portfolio. I periodically write a newsletter summarizing the trends in various investment markets that I recommend. This information is updated periodically in an effort to keep you informed of impending portfolio changes.

How I am compensated:

INVESTMENT ADVISORY services are provided for fees based on the amount of dollars invested and reviewed. The maximum annual fee is 1% of invested assets, scaling down to .40% as the account size increases. These fees are documented in the fee schedule of the Letter of Engagement that both of us sign.

Brokerage and Insurance Products

BROKERAGE AND INSURANCE PRODUCT SELECTION services include developing answers to the following questions:

  • What specific mutual fund, investment trust, partnership is most likely capable of contributing toward your investment objectives?
  • Is insurance necessary? If so, which company is appropriate?

There are over 5000 mutual funds available for investment today. The other investment choices are virtually unlimited. Stocks, bonds, real estate, gold/silver, Certificates of Deposit, oil and gas investments, variable annuities, and some insurance products are all types of investments we find ourselves confronted with. It is very difficult to "screen out" those that are appropriate for our own investments. The proper selection of an investment is based on a large number of factors, including the client's age, risk tolerance, time horizon, and specific goals and objectives. In addition, it takes considerable knowledge and the use of selection "tools" to adequately "screen" investments for their appropriateness for a specific client's needs.

Various "risk management" tools (insurance products) are available to provide for survivor needs, coverage of estate taxes, disability income, health and long term care coverage, and Medicare supplementation. Once the financial planning process identifies the appropriate insurance product and strategy, the selection of a high quality insurer is important to the long term stability of your insurance protection.

Selection of a securities broker/dealer firm and its commitment to customer services can contribute greatly to the success of your investment decisions. TCFG Wealth Management, LLC a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (FINRA) and Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), is the firm that we represent.

Wesley is the licensed insurance agent, and he is responsible for all recommendation and policy service.

How are we compensated:

BROKERAGE AND INSURANCE PRODUCT SELECTION services are normally provided on a commission basis. If you are paying investment advisory fees, commissions received on recommended securities investments only are credited against outstanding fees.

For more information about our firm and the services we offer, send us a quick email or call the office. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
